Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, or Culinary Arts preferred.
• 6 months of sales or chef/restaurant management experience required.
• 1 year of outside foodservice sales experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business and penetrate accounts to grow profitable sales within the territory.
• Seek and qualify prospects according to account stratification goals.
• Research customer needs and develop a product/service mix to meet them.
• Evaluate market trends and recommend products to customers based on needs.
• Stay informed on market conditions, product innovations, and competitors’ offerings; share with customers as value-added service.
• Answer questions about products, prices, availability, and usage.
• Provide product information and practical training to customer personnel.
• Drive to customer accounts, conventions, and company meetings.
