Job summary

Kinder Morgan Inc. is seeking a Safety Specialist to support the East Region from the Shreveport, LA office. The role focuses on safety training, inspections, OSHA/EPA regulatory interpretations, and incident investigations within a multi-state operating area.

The position requires collaboration with field personnel, strong communication skills, and the ability to travel up to about 50% to sites and facilities across the division.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; 5–7 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Safety or industrial hygiene degree preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required and must meet insurability requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support the Natural Gas Business Unit in complying with safety regulations and provide safety training.
• Inspect facilities and document regulatory citations for deficiencies; assist in solutions.
• Plan, develop, and deliver safety training to facility personnel.
• Support incident reporting and tracking for injuries, vehicle accidents, and other events.
• Investigate incidents using root cause analysis and develop corrective actions.
