Job summary

Energy Transfer seeks a Health & Safety Specialist to support the Great Lakes District Operations in Michigan and Northwestern Ohio. You will develop loss control programs, travel within the territory, and collaborate with operations to ensure safety compliance across sites including pump stations and LPG storage facilities.

The role requires strong communication, training design capabilities, and BCSP/ABIH preferred qualifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree preferred; or high school diploma with related safety experience.
• 6+ years of experience in safety or related field.
• BCSP or ABIH certifications preferred.
• Strong communication skills and loss control knowledge.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Ability to design and present training.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Residence within commuting distance to Taylor, MI office.

Responsibilities

• H&S Training – ensure regulatory training compliance and report generation.
• Regulatory Compliance – conduct site visits and inspections.
• Communication – maintain effective liaison with operations and internal clients.
• Incident records and investigations – document and investigate incidents.
• Emergency Response – support pipeline and terminal emergencies; night shift readiness.
• Industrial Hygiene – schedule sampling to verify exposure limits.
• Safety Culture Initiative – lead by example and promote safety initiatives.
