Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Safety Specialist I to support and audit safety programs on project sites. You will implement and verify Site Specific Safety Plans, help with corrective actions, and liaise with operations to maintain safe work practices. Qualifications

• 0-2 years of construction safety experience.
• First Aid CPR certification.
• OSHA 30 certification.
• Willingness to travel/relocate.
• Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing, updating, and communicating the Site Specific Safety Plan (SSSP) with subcontractors.
• Collaborate daily with craft to promote safety program ownership.
• Enforce Stop Work responsibilities to ensure policy compliance.
• Plan with operations to address leading indicators and upcoming work.
• Provide safety training on policies, OSHA/MSHA, NCCER, SIMS, and client requirements.
