Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Safety Specialist for our Advanced Facilities Group in Boise, Idaho. The role focuses on coordinating and implementing field safety programs across diverse construction projects, ensuring regulatory compliance and a safe working environment for all personnel.

The ideal candidate will conduct regular site inspections, lead safety orientations, and manage safety audits with a proactive approach to hazard identification and abatement.

Qualifications

• Experience in field safety program development and execution.
• Ability to perform regular site inspections and audits for compliance.
• Experience coordinating safety orientation and training for new hires.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement field safety program for routine construction projects.
• Conduct regular walk-through inspections to ensure compliance with laws and company policies.
• Perform safety audits and document abatement recommendations.
• Oversee new hire safety orientation and drug/alcohol policy compliance.
• Monitor prime contractor/subcontractor safety programs and participate in meetings.
• Assist investigations of project accidents and recommend process changes.
• Coordinate with clinics to ensure timely return-to-work.
• Support safety committee activities and program improvements.
