Job summary

The Vallejo Company is seeking a Safety & Risk Coordinator to lead our field safety program in Ohio, partnering with executives, operations, HR, and Safety Plus to maintain a safe, productive site.

You will implement best practices, manage OSHA documentation, training, incident tracking, and corrective actions while coaching crews and driving continuous safety improvements across local jobsites.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of safety experience in heavy civil, heavy highway, underground utility, or industrial construction.
• Strong understanding of construction safety principles and OSHA requirements.
• Experience working with union workforces is highly preferred.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel between local jobsites.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day safety program in partnership with leadership, operations, HR, and Safety Plus.
• Implement best practices, maintain compliance, and improve Vallejo's safety culture.
• Provide field leadership, engage employees, and coach crews on safe work.
• Identify hazards, prevent incidents, and track corrective actions.
