Job summary

Right Traffic is seeking a Safety Officer to support the development and monitoring of safety programs, conduct field audits, assist with training, and help ensure OSHA and environmental compliance. The role involves roughly 50% travel across the United States to support multiple work sites and teams.

The candidate should have 2–5 years in a safety-related field, strong OSHA knowledge, and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in a safety-related role within construction, traffic control, utilities, or field-based environments.
• Working knowledge of OSHA requirements and general workplace safety principles.
• Experience conducting site inspections, identifying hazards, and documenting findings.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in field environments with remote supervision.
• Exposure to environmental compliance topics such as spill response, waste management, or environmental incident reporting (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Support development, implementation, and maintenance of health and safety programs and training.
• Promote hazard identification, risk reduction, and continuous improvement across field operations.
• Reinforce safety expectations with leadership and field supervision.
• Ensure compliance with environmental requirements related to field operations.
• Assist with incident reporting, investigations, and corrective actions.
• Deliver safety training on hazard awareness and emergency response.
• Engage with frontline employees to reinforce safe behaviors.
• Support onboarding and refresher training initiatives.
