Job summary

Premier Fence is seeking a hands-on Safety Manager to own the safety program across field operations, manufacturing, yards, fleet, and facilities. This role emphasizes practical, prevention-focused safety with a strong field presence to identify hazards and drive corrective actions.

You will lead OSHA compliance, incident investigations, and safety reporting in collaboration with Operations and Training & Development, while maintaining robust documentation and metrics.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of meaningful occupational safety experience in construction or industrial operations.
• OSHA 30-certified with strong knowledge of OSHA 1926/1910 standards.
• Proven experience conducting field safety inspections and identifying hazards.
• Experience implementing corrective actions and tracking results.
• Excellent written communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to influence safety practices across field crews and management.

Responsibilities

• Lead field safety inspections across jobsites, manufacturing, yards, and facilities.
• Identify hazards and implement timely corrective actions with Operations.
• Manage OSHA recordkeeping and safety documentation (300, 301, 300A).
• Investigate incidents and perform root-cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
• Develop and report leading/lagging safety metrics to leadership.
• Collaborate with Training & Development to address competency gaps.
• Stop work when imminent hazards exist and ensure risk reduction.
• Provide safety training and orientation for crews, foremen, and managers.
