Sheakley Workforce Staffing in Washington, DC is seeking a Safety Manager to oversee safety across multiple active construction projects. You will coordinate onsite safety representatives, conduct field observations, and ensure compliance with OSHA and EM 385 standards.

The role requires strong incident investigation skills, field leadership, and the ability to manage safety programs across federal, commercial, and military construction environments, with an annual salary of $95,000 to $105,000

Qualifications

  • OSHA 30 Construction Certification and EM 385-1-1 training are required.
  • Minimum 5+ years of construction safety experience.
  • Ability to lead incident investigations and manage multiple sites.
  • Experience supporting safety programs across federal, commercial, military projects preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide safety leadership across multiple active construction projects.
  • Manage and mentor onsite safety representatives assigned to project sites.
  • Maintain a strong field presence through routine site visits and observations.
  • Develop, implement, and manage company safety programs and initiatives.
  • Conduct site audits, inspections, observations, and hazard assessments.
  • Lead accident investigations and corrective action implementation.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EM 385, client, and project-specific requirements.
  • Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs), and safety plans.
  • Conduct safety training, orientations, and workforce engagement activities.

Safety Manager

Location: Washington, DC

Site Coverage: Overseeing Multiple Projects Simultaneously (Up to 6 Active Projects)

Start Date: ASAP

Type: Direct Hire W2

Salary: $95,000 - $105,000 Annually

Annual bonus (5-10% of salary based on personal and company performance)

Benefits: Full Benefits Package

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 1st Shift | Approximately 40 Hours Per Week

Additional Schedule Details: Frequent field presence required across multiple active projects throughout the Washington, DC region.

Required Qualifications
  • OSHA 30 Construction Certification

  • Current First Aid / CPR / AED Certification

  • Previous Safety Management Experience Required
  • Experience Managing Multiple Construction Sites Simultaneously

  • Bilingual (Spanish) Highly Preferred

What You'll Be Doing

  • Promote a proactive safety culture across all assigned projects
