Job summary

Gray Construction Services, Inc. seeks a Site Safety Manager to lead on-site safety for multiple projects nationwide. This field-based role requires coordinating with project teams, enforcing health and safety policies, and mentoring junior safety staff.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in occupational or environmental health and safety and 5+ years of construction safety experience. Travel to project sites across the United States is required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational or environmental health and safety is required or equivalent
• 5+ years of construction safety experience or training are required
• Proven leadership and team-building abilities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• NCSO and Advanced First Aid strongly preferred
• Visa sponsorship is not available for this role

Responsibilities

• Serve as on-site Safety Officer for assigned projects.
• Monitor and inspect the job site for health and safety compliance and identify hazards.
• Implement safety policies on-site and coordinate with project manager, contractors, and safety professionals.
• Provide health and safety training to all employees on-site.
• Establish and manage a jobsite safety culture per Gray’s safety program.
• Mentor new site safety team members on the project.
• Review and evaluate contractor site safety programs; mentor contractors to ensure compliance.
• Maintain owner and Gray safety records; assist in developing site safety plans and emergency response plans.
• Resolve safety-related issues with supervisory personnel; perform other duties as assigned.
