Job summary

Gray Construction is seeking a Site Safety Manager to join the Field Operations Team. This field/project based position will serve as the on-site Safety Officer on assigned projects across the United States, ensuring health and safety compliance and fostering a strong safety culture.

You will implement safety policies, provide training, mentor team members, and review contractor programs while maintaining safety records. Travel is required; visa sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational or environmental health and safety (or similar) with 5+ years of construction safety experience, or 5–10 years of related safety experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as on-site Safety Officer for assigned projects.
• Monitor and inspect job sites for health and safety compliance; identify hazards.
• Implement safety policies onsite and discuss issues with project manager, contractor, and safety professionals.
• Provide health and safety training and information to all employees onsite.
• Establish and manage a jobsite safety culture per Gray’s program.
• Assist in onboarding and mentoring new site safety team members.
• Review and evaluate contractor safety programs; mentor contractors to comply with Gray guidelines.
• Maintain safety records and develop project-specific safety plans and emergency responses.
• Resolve complaints with supervisory personnel; travel to project sites as needed.
