Job summary

Lever, Inc. seeks a Safety Operations Manager to lead EHS programs across multiple regional locations and a large commercial vehicle fleet, ensuring 100% regulatory compliance with OSHA, DOT, and NESC standards.

The role requires quick deployment to command centers during storms, managing high-risk scenarios, and embedding a safety-first culture through training, audits, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of progressive safety management in electrical utilities or heavy utility infrastructure.
• Storm response experience managing field safety during emergencies.
• FMCSA/DOT fleet safety knowledge and qualifications management.
• CSP/CUSP preferred; OSHA 30-Hour Construction and CPR/First Aid Instructor certification required.
• Willingness to travel across regional sites and work extended hours during storms.

Responsibilities

• Oversee OSHA 1910.269, NESC, and related regulations across regions.
• Lead emergency storm response and power restoration field operations.
• Manage safety and risk for a multi-site vehicle fleet in collaboration with Fleet Logistics.
• Standardize safety procedures and track EHS metrics across locations.
• Lead incident investigations using TapRooT/5-Whys and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct field audits and provide safety coaching on PPE and risk assessments.
• Deliver comprehensive EHS training including updates and compliance refreshers.
