Job summary

LEMOINE is seeking a proactive Safety Coordinator to support safety program implementation across active construction sites. You will conduct inspections, maintain records, and ensure OSHA compliance while working with craft workers, subcontractors, and project leadership.

The role emphasizes training support, incident investigations, and continuous safety improvements on diverse projects from infrastructure to buildings in the Louisiana region.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• OSHA 30 Construction certification or ability to obtain.
• 1–2+ years in construction, industrial, safety, or field-related work.
• Strong communication skills with employees at all levels.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and mobile tech.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to sites.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation of safety policies and site-specific safety plans.
• Conduct routine jobsite safety inspections and document unsafe conditions.
• Communicate safety concerns to leadership and assist with corrective actions.
• Monitor compliance with OSHA regulations and project safety standards.
• Assist with safety orientations, toolbox talks, and trainings.
• Verify use of required PPE by workers and subcontractors.
• Assist with job hazard analyses, pre-task plans, and safety permits.
• Maintain accurate safety records and incident documentation.
• Support investigations of incidents, near misses, and environmental events.
• Gather evidence for incident reports (photos, statements, reports).
• Track corrective actions and verify resolution.
• Monitor subcontractor safety performance and escalate concerns.
• Participate in safety meetings and planning discussions.
• Support emergency-response planning and drills.
• Monitor housekeeping, access routes, fall protection, and high-risk activities.
• Encourage hazard reporting and safety program participation.
