Job summary

Custom Concrete Co., Inc. is seeking a Safety Manager to promote a culture of safety and accountability. You will support OSHA compliance, lead trainings, and coordinate with operations to reduce risk across sites.

The role requires at least 5 years in construction safety, strong communication skills, and proficiency with MS Office. Expect frequent travel to jobsites and outdoor work in varying weather.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to participate in the Safety Program.
• Minimum of 5 years of construction safety experience.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and training skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Serve as a safety resource to employees, supervisors, and managers.
• Promote employee engagement in safety initiatives through training, coaching, and communication.
• Support and reinforce company safety policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Participate in and facilitate safety meetings, toolbox talks, and educational training programs.
• Maintain knowledge of OSHA regulations and ensure compliance across sites.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and assessments to identify hazards.
• Develop and implement corrective actions and risk mitigation strategies.
• Assist in administration and oversight of safety programs.
• Investigate workplace incidents and perform root cause analysis.
• Ensure proper incident reporting procedures are followed.
• Deliver safety orientation and ongoing education to employees.
• Develop and update training materials to support objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Provide coaching and field mentoring to supervisors and employees.
• Assist with safety-related technology and learning tools.
• Assist in managing OSHA compliance programs (OSHA 300 Logs, Hazard Communication, Emergency Action Planning, etc.).
• Prepare safety reports, metrics, and recommendations.
• Utilize mobile devices and computer software to document inspections, incidents, and training.
• Frequent travel to jobsites and facilities; work outdoors in varied conditions.
