Job summary

R-2 Contractors seeks a Site Safety Lead to safeguard personnel on our field projects across the United States. You will implement safety protocols, conduct site audits, and provide safety training to craft workers.

This is a full-time, travel-heavy role reporting to the Safety Manager. You will participate in daily workflows, manage incidents, and coordinate with general contractors to maintain compliance with OSHA 1926 regulations and company policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' safety experience in construction or a similar field.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA 1926 regulations and state-specific safety laws.
• Current OSHA 30 (Construction) and First Aid/CPR required.
• Preferred CSP, CHST, or STSC certifications.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily site walks to identify safety concerns and ensure compliance.
• Lead safety walks with general contractors and document findings.
• Provide training on safety measures and policies for craft employees.
• Manage accident and safety claims and follow up on corrective actions.
• Lead incident review meetings with clients and GCs.
• Collaborate with field supervision to ensure project-wide safety compliance.
