Job summary

Summit Line Construction is seeking an experienced Field Safety Advisor for substation work in Pahrump, NV. You will plan and implement safety policies, reinforce safety culture, and support field crews with training and incident investigations.

You will monitor compliance, assist in inspections, and contribute to corrective actions while coordinating with OSHA and DOT requirements. This role offers growth in a nationwide utility contractor setting.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED equivalent.
• 2 years minimum related experience in powerline construction preferred.
• OSHA 30 certification and/or related safety certification preferred.
• Understanding of Federal and State safety regulations and training requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based tracking software.
• Willingness to travel for work.
• Must complete alcohol and drug test screenings.
• Substation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and update basic safety policies and procedures.
• Support safety program management and risk assessments.
• Assist in incident scene preservation and statement collection.
• Help identify immediate causes of incidents.
• Support routine safety inspections and corrective actions.
• Prepare monthly safety performance reports and data visuals.
• Deliver safety training and tailboard talks to small crews.
