Summit Line Construction, a Quanta Services subsidiary, seeks a Field Safety Advisor for Substation work in Pahrump, NV. You will help implement safety policies, lead incident investigations, and drive a proactive safety culture across field teams.

The role focuses on program management, incident response, inspections, and data-driven safety reporting. Travel to project sites and OSHA/DOT compliance awareness are essential, with a competitive benefits package offered.

Qualifications

• High school graduate; OSHA 30 preferred.
• 2+ years in power line construction or related field preferred.
• Understanding of Federal and State safety regulations and training requirements.
• Willingness to travel for work.
• Must complete alcohol and drug test screenings.

Responsibilities

• Draft basic safety policies and procedures under supervision.
• Update safety programs based on regulatory changes and report modifications.
• Contribute to safety risk assessments by identifying potential hazards.
• Assist in monitoring safety program effectiveness and suggest improvements.
• Conduct basic tailboard safety talks for small field crews.
• Help field supervisors identify potential safety hazards on job sites.
• Deliver basic safety orientation sessions to new employees.
• Conduct initial incident scene preservation and documentation.
• Assist in interviewing witnesses and collecting statements.
• Help identify immediate causes of incidents under supervision.
• Contribute to corrective action plans.
• Deliver basic incident prevention training to small groups.
• Conduct routine safety inspections under supervision.
• Identify common safety violations and non-compliance issues.
• Assist in preparing inspection reports and recommendations.
• Help track the implementation of corrective actions.
• Identify safety violations observed in the field.
• Deliver basic compliance training to small work groups.
• Compile safety statistics and metrics under supervision.
• Create basic data visualizations to represent safety trends.
• Assist in preparing monthly safety performance reports.
• Identify data discrepancies and report them to supervisors.
• Analyze field safety data to identify basic trends.
• Prepare simple reports on field safety performance.
• Deliver basic training on data entry and reporting procedures.
• Prepare basic safety communications under supervision.
• Facilitate small group discussions on safety topics.
• Contribute ideas for improving safety engagement.
• Assist in developing safety awareness materials.
• Deliver basic safety culture presentations to peers.
