Job summary

WSP is seeking a Lead Safety Technician to manage field safety for large-scale electric utility construction projects across Nevada. You will lead the safety management scope, coordinate with NV Energy, contractors, and agencies, and drive a culture of safety excellence.

The role requires a strong background in OSHA standards, JHAs, SDSs, incident investigations, and executive-level reporting. Field-based with travel across Nevada; 11+ years of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 11 years of post-education field safety experience.
• OSHA 30-hour certification or equivalent safety training.
• Proven history of managing multi-site safety programs.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and local safety codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the field safety management scope for the project and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate safety planning with NV Energy, contractors, and agencies.
• Conduct safety audits and track corrective actions and training.
• Develop and maintain project safety plans and site-specific safety plans.
