Job summary

Heidelberg Materials is seeking a hands-on Safety Professional to support field and plant operations across our construction materials facilities in Washington. You will drive a proactive safety culture through inspections, coaching, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

The role emphasizes strong communication, problem solving, and field-ready safety solutions, with regular travel between sites in a dynamic industrial setting.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of safety experience in construction materials or heavy industrial environments.
• Ability to travel between sites.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day safety activities, ensuring consistent application of safety standards.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and observations to identify hazards and reduce risks.
• Provide coaching and guidance to employees and supervisors on safe work practices and procedures.
• Assist with incident investigations, root cause analysis, documentation, and corrective actions.
• Facilitate safety meetings, toolbox talks, training sessions, and ongoing safety communications.
• Track and analyze leading and lagging indicators, support continuous improvement initiatives.
