Job summary

Heidelberg Materials is seeking a hands-on Safety Professional to support field and plant operations across our construction materials facilities. This role partners closely with leaders and frontline teams to drive a proactive safety culture, reduce risk through inspections and coaching, and ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate communicates clearly, builds trust with diverse teams, and thrives in active industrial environments.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of safety experience in construction materials, heavy industrial, aggregates, cement, concrete, mining, or related environments
• Experience with JHA/JSA, lockout/tagout, and incident investigations
• Ability to coach and train on safe work practices and procedures

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day safety activities and ensure consistent application of safety standards
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and observations to identify hazards and reduce risks
• Provide coaching and guidance on safe work practices and procedures
• Assist with incident investigations, root cause analysis, documentation, and corrective actions
• Facilitate safety meetings, toolbox talks, training sessions, and ongoing safety communications
• Track and analyze leading and lagging indicators to support continuous improvement
