Medcor Safety is seeking a hands-on Safety Professional for a full-time construction project in Abilene, TX. The role focuses on maintaining a safe, compliant job site on a large-scale heavy civil/roadway project, collaborating with field crews and leadership.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in construction safety, OSHA knowledge, and field exposure to heavy civil works. CPR/First Aid certs and strong documentation skills are required for ongoing safety program implementation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant construction safety experience.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA construction standards and workplace safety regulations.
• Experience conducting job site inspections, safety audits, and hazard assessments.
• Ability to communicate effectively with construction crews, project leadership, and outside stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain accurate safety documentation and reports.
• Proficiency with basic computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.

Responsabilités

• Conduct regular job site safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and opportunities for improvement.
• Work with construction crews, supervisors, and project management to promote safe practices and ensure compliance.
• Implement and enforce OSHA regulations and site safety plans.
• Lead and participate in daily safety meetings, toolbox talks, and orientations.
• Identify risks associated with heavy civil construction, roadway operations, and equipment.
• Document safety observations, inspections, incidents, and corrective actions.
• Review and maintain employee safety training records and documentation.
• Assist with incident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Support development of Site-Specific Safety Plans and alignment with owner requirements.
