Job summary

Optimized Process Designs (OPD) is seeking a Field Safety Coordinator to help maintain a strong safety culture on active field sites. You will perform inspections, organize training, and ensure compliance with OPD and client safety policies.

Travel is required; shifts up to 12 hours, and coordination with HR and site leaders on safety issues. The role demands physical resilience and a proactive approach to hazard identification.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years’ experience in a Safety position in the heavy construction industry.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and proprietary databases.
• Ability to interpret OSHA safety regulations and implement standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct walk-through inspections of field job sites to identify hazardous conditions.
• Organize and prepare safety meetings and training.
• Ensure employees follow safe work procedures and OSHA-required training.
• Administer the safe permitting process (Lockout/Tagout) and drug testing policies.
• Assist with accident investigations and safety case management.
