Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety or related technical field; extensive experience may substitute.
• Certification in Safety preferred.
• Incident Investigation experience preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years in an industrial safety setting.
• Self-motivated and proactive, with regulatory affairs knowledge in Safety Management.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% and reside within an hour of the reporting location.

Responsabilités

• Provide daily safety support to local Operations, Maintenance and Shared Services personnel.
• Maintain close communication with local Maintenance and Operations Supervisors and Managers.
• Support high-risk projects and maintenance with Job Planning/Prep, Isolation, Clearing, and Hot Work/Atmospheric Monitoring.
• Track audit items and assist in closing deficiencies with Area Supervision.
• Visit control rooms, shops, and field sites to observe safety practices and compliance.
• Participate in Job Planning, pre-bid, and shutdown meetings focusing on safety items.
• Conduct safety and housekeeping inspections with management and supervision.
• Plan and coordinate Emergency Response Training; participate in Regional Safety Committees.
• Audit permit systems and report results and deficiencies to Area Supervision.
• Maintain emergency response equipment operability.
• Coordinate and monitor contractor service/inspection of fire safety equipment.
• Lead safety training meetings and materials for operations and maintenance teams.
• Support monthly safety meeting materials preparation by supervision.
• Serve on Incident Investigation Team and assist area management with OSHA/PSM/RMP compliance.
