Qualifications

• Must have one or more years’ experience in construction safety.
• OSHA 30 Construction Certification and current First Aid & CPR.
• Must be able to conduct daily and weekly safety trainings.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must pass pre-employment and criminal background check.
• Excellent planning, time-management, and follow-through.
• Ability to review, analyze and discuss safety data.
• Ability to work both in a team and independently.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and complex situations.

Responsibilities

• Prevent accidents, injuries and claims by conducting daily new hire orientations.
• Develop and deliver Safety Training and New Hire Orientations per federal, state, local, and client programs.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, programs, and policies.
• On-site safety audits as required by project demands.
• Inspire and coach employees to meet safety goals.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding injuries and claims.
• Take a proactive approach to claims and injury reduction.
• Act as liaison for project drug and alcohol testing.
• Perform additional duties as client needs dictate and skill level grows.
