Interstate Mechanical LLC
IMCOR is seeking a highly motivated, hands-on Field Safety Coordinator to support our commercial and industrial mechanical construction operations.
This position plays an important role in reducing workplace hazards, maintaining compliance with company policies and OSHA regulations, and helping build a strong and lasting safety culture throughout IMCOR.
At IMCOR, we believe a successful safety program starts with safety leaders who genuinely care about the people they work with. We are looking for someone who sees safety as more than just a job, a checklist, or enforcing rules. The right person will care about our employees, take pride in helping them work safely, and want to be part of building a safety culture where everyone takes responsibility for looking out for themselves and the people around them.
The Field Safety Coordinator will work closely with the Safety Manager, field leadership, project teams, and employees to promote safe work practices, identify and correct hazards, provide training and coaching, and ensure employees have the knowledge, equipment, and resources necessary to perform their work safely.
This is primarily a field based position. The majority of the Field Safety Coordinator’s time will be spent visiting active jobsites, observing work activities, conducting inspections and audits, coaching employees and field leadership, and engaging directly with our workforce. The Field Safety Coordinator will also conduct classroom safety training for new hires approximately once per week.
IMCOR performs commercial and industrial HVAC, plumbing, piping, and mechanical construction throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area.

- Provide safety training, coaching, and resources to employees at all levels of the organization.
- Facilitate and document employee safety training to support regulatory compliance and employee competency.
- Assist the Safety Manager with incident and near-miss investigations, root cause analysis, and development of corrective and preventive action plans.
- Follow up on corrective actions identified during inspections, observations, or incident investigations.
- Prepare reports summarizing safety observations, inspection findings, incidents, trends, and areas requiring improvement.
- Maintain current knowledge of applicable OSHA regulations, construction safety requirements, and industry best practices.
- Partner with project teams, field leadership, and department managers to incorporate safety into daily operations and project planning.
- Serve as a resource and point of contact for employees and supervisors with safety-related questions or concerns.
- Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, project planning meetings, and employee safety stand-downs as needed.
- Assist with maintaining employee training records and other required safety documentation.
- Support the continuous improvement of IMCOR’s safety programs, policies, procedures, and training.
- Reinforce IMCOR’s expectation that employees have the authority and responsibility to stop work when an unsafe condition exists.
