Qualifications

Job description

Overview:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Field Safety Coordinator to join our team and help us maintain a safe and compliant work environment. This is a 100% on-site position. A strong field presence is essential to ensure real-time safety oversight and compliance.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Monitor daily site activities to ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company policies.
  • Conduct jobsite safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments; recommend and track corrective actions.
  • Support field supervisors in building safety-conscious crews through coaching and safety planning.
  • Respond to incidents; coordinate injury care per company protocols and assist with root cause investigations.
  • Prepare and maintain safety documentation including Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Site-Specific Safety Plans, and permits.
  • Lead or assist with safety training including toolbox talks, orientation, and site-specific safety programs.
  • Ensure availability and proper use of safety equipment, PPE, and first aid supplies.
  • Participate in and contribute to jobsite safety walks with internal and external partners.
  • Serve as a resource for OSHA compliance and company safety policies.
  • Maintain documentation of inspections, incident reports, and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate closely with the HSE Manager and Safety Director to support continuous improvement.

Requirements:
  • 2+ years of safety experience in construction or industrial environments
  • OSHA 30 certification required; OSHA 500/501 preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, or related field preferred
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry safety standards
  • Root cause analysis experience
  • Ability to work independently with strong problem-solving and judgment skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to train field personnel
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Must pass a background check and drug screen
