Job summary

Phillips Infrastructure seeks a Corporate Safety Manager to lead safety training, compliance, and support across multiple operating entities. The role reports to the Corporate Safety Director and is field-based with extensive travel, based out of the Knoxville, TN area.

Collaboration with field safety professionals and senior leadership is essential for aligning with EH&S standards. The ideal candidate brings 10+ years in construction safety, relevant BCSP credentials, and a Bachelor’s in Safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management or similar field required.
• Minimum 10 years of safety experience in construction.
• BCSP certifications (CHST, ASP, CSP) highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs field assessments and audits to ensure compliance with the Corporate EH&S Program Manual and applicable regulations.
• Generates reports documenting audit findings and follows up to ensure corrective action.
• Provides recommendations to improve the EH&S program based on field observations.
• Participates in Serious Injury & Fatality investigations as deemed appropriate by corporate safety.
• Reviews root cause analyses and incident reports to offer input on causation and programmatic changes.
• Coordinates Industrial Hygiene sampling and results as required.
• Assists in client pre-qualifications, pre-bid and pre-construction meetings.
• Supports development of corporate EH&S policies and procedures.
• Identifies improvement areas within the EH&S Program Manual and suggests ongoing enhancements.
• Provides project safety coverage as needed, including disaster and emergency response.
• Delivers EH&S training and orientations infrequently.
• Other duties as assigned by PIC Corporate Safety & Risk.
