Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management or a similar field is required.
• Minimum of 10 years of safety experience in the construction industry.
• BCSP certifications (CHST, ASP, CSP) are highly preferred.
• Willingness to travel extensively; field-based role.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conducts field assessments and audits to ensure compliance with the Corporate EH&S Program Manual and applicable regulations; collaborates with project teams to resolve hazards.
• Generates reports documenting audit findings and follows up with corrective actions.
• Provides recommendations to improve the EH&S Program based on field observations.
• Participates in Serious Injury & Fatality (SIF) investigations and other incident investigations as appropriate.
• Reviews Root Cause Analysis and Incident Reports to advise on causation and program changes.
• Coordinates Industrial Hygiene sampling and results as required.
• Supports client pre-qualifications, pre-bid and pre-construction meetings.
• Assists in developing corporate EH&S policies and procedures.
• Identifies areas for continuous improvement within the EH&S Program Manual.
• Provides project safety coverage when needed and supports disaster/emergency response.
• Delivers EH&S training and orientations as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by PIC Corporate Safety & Risk.
