Job summary

Jackson Energy Authority is seeking a Safety Program Administrator to oversee safety, compliance, research, and policy development across operations. You will visit field sites regularly to observe practices, identify risks, and support corrective actions, partnering with management and employees for continuous improvement.

The role requires strong communication, experience with safety planning, and the ability to coordinate training and regulatory reports.

Qualifications

• Requires strong written and verbal communication with the ability to present to groups.
• Experience overseeing crew safety planning and procedures is preferred.
• Direct utility construction or maintenance safety program experience is valued.

Responsibilities

• Administers, coordinates, and supports safety programs and compliance.
• Conducts frequent field site visits to observe work practices and assess safety.
• Serve as primary contact for safety issues and corrective actions.
• Coordinate CDL training and ensure license requirements are met.
• Maintain accident statistics, report OSHA/DOT impacts, and propose improvements.
• Provide safety training and participate in security audits and drills.
