Job summary

JEA is seeking a safety program administrator to administer, coordinate, and support safety programs, compliance, research, and policy development across operations. The role conducts frequent field site visits to observe practices, identify risks, evaluate compliance, and support safe operations.

You will be the primary contact for addressing safety issues and collaborating with management and employees on corrective actions and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• GED with seven years of experience in utility construction or field operations, including crew oversight and safety planning.
• Bachelor's degree with three years of experience overseeing a utility or construction safety program.

Responsibilities

• Administers, coordinates, and supports safety programs, compliance, research, and policy development across JEA operations.
• Conducts frequent field site visits to observe work practices, identify risks, evaluate compliance, and support safe operations.

Education

GED + 7+ yrs in utility construction or field operations (crew oversight & safety planning)

Bachelor's degree + 3+ yrs overseeing utility/construction safety program
