Job summary

Reliant Transportation Group is seeking a Safety Coach to help build a strong safety culture across our Minnesota service centers. You will work with drivers, chaperones, and leaders to observe, coach, and reinforce safe behaviors, using data and field observations to drive improvements.

The role requires strong communication, relationship-building, and the ability to provide constructive feedback. Travel within assigned regional centers and flexible hours may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in transportation, safety, operations, training, coaching, or a related field.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to build credibility and trust with teammates and leaders.
• Ability to provide constructive feedback and hold teammates accountable.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Valid driver's license with no disqualifying offense in MN FMCSA regulations and company policy.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular site observations, ride-alongs, and safety observations with drivers and operational teammates.
• Coach teammates on safe driving and workplace behaviors using positive reinforcement and constructive feedback.
• Build trusted relationships with drivers, chaperones, supervisors, managers, and service center leadership.
• Identify unsafe conditions, behaviors, trends, and potential hazards; document observations and assist with corrective actions.
• Support safety training, onboarding and safety orientation for new teammates.
• Assist with incident reviews and follow-up of accidents, incidents, injuries, and near misses.
• Maintain accurate records of safety observations, coaching activities, training, and corrective actions.
