Job summary

Ryan Lawn & Tree is hiring a Field Fleet Safety Specialist to promote safe driving and fleet discipline across multiple states. You will coach drivers in real-time, conduct on-site trainings, and work with a safety team to uphold DOT requirements while traveling to branches.

This safety-sensitive role supports ESOP and a strong benefits package. Ideal candidates have a 4+ year background in fleet safety, a Smith System Instructor certification, and willingness to travel up to 50% with a valid

Qualifications

• Associate degree in safety/occupational health or related field required.
• 4+ years of fleet safety or DOT/compliance experience in a multi-site organization.
• Smith System Instructor certification required.
• Willingness to travel ~50% to branches with overnight stays.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Ride with drivers weekly across branches for real-time feedback.
• Deliver on-site driving safety training and onboarding.
• Collaborate with Safety Manager, Field Safety Specialist and Learning Specialists.
• Conduct route observations and inspections to enforce standards.
• Lead coaching with drivers and branch leaders until behavior changes.
• Deliver safety modules within Foundations Academy programs.
