Job summary

Encore Electric, Inc. is seeking a Safety Specialist 2 to conduct health and safety audits across construction sites within the Colorado region. The role ensures compliance with state/federal laws and company policies, with travel across active Encore sites.

The position emphasizes collaboration with the Safety and Health Manager to drive continual safety improvements. Ideal candidates have 5–10 years of safety experience in construction, CHST certification, and a willingness to pursue CSP.

Qualifications

• Degree preferred in health and safety; CHST required.
• 5-10 years of full-time safety experience in construction.
• Experience supporting safety initiatives on multiple large-scale commercial projects.
• CHST is required; CSP preferred or willing to achieve.
• OSHA 500 is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain company policies adhering to local, state and federal health and safety regulations.
• Assist Safety and Health Manager in implementing internal safety policies and procedures.
• Analyze safety data to lead and coordinate continual safety improvements.
• Participate in teams/meetings to develop health and safety policies.
• Record and implement the Company’s Safety Committee; lead safety initiatives.
• Represent the organization in community and industry safety groups.
• Review jobsites for compliance and make recommendations.
• Serve field employees as primary safety contact and promote safety improvements.
• Conduct safety training as needed, including orientation.
• Stay current on regulatory changes affecting the organization.
