Job summary

Serve Robotics in West Hollywood, CA seeks a Robotics Field Development Test Associate to support testing, deployment, and operation of autonomous delivery robots in real-world environments. You will execute field tests, perform commercial deliveries, document issues, and provide feedback to improve product quality and operational readiness.

This role collaborates with Engineering, Product, and Operations to collect data, troubleshoot issues, and maintain safety and testing standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's in Engineering, Robotics, CS or related field preferred.
• Interest in robotics, autonomous systems, field operations, logistics, QA, or related disciplines.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow test procedures and document results.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while following processes and safety procedures.
• Comfortable outdoors and able to walk/bike several miles during shift.
• Ability to lift and move equipment as needed.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license with good driving record.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute field testing activities for autonomous delivery robots by following test plans and guidelines.
• Deploy, monitor, recover, and operate robots in real-world environments safely.
• Perform commercial deliveries and represent Serve professionally with merchants and customers.
• Identify, document, and reproduce software/hardware issues and support engineering investigations.
• Collect test data, observations, and feedback to support product development.
• Troubleshoot software/hardware issues in the field and escalate complex problems.
• Prepare robots for testing and deployment with routine inspections and maintenance.
• Follow safety procedures and testing standards during field activities.
• Maintain accurate testing records and logs.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Operations on testing, deployments, and pilots.
