Job summary

Serve Robotics is seeking a Robotics Field Development Test Associate to support testing, deployment, and operation of autonomous delivery robots in real-world environments. You will execute field test plans, perform commercial deliveries, and work with Engineering, Product, and Operations to improve robot performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
• Interest in robotics, autonomous systems, field operations, logistics, quality assurance, or related disciplines.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow test procedures and document results.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while following processes and safety procedures.
• Comfortable outdoors and able to walk/bike several miles during a shift.
• Ability to lift/move equipment as needed.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Execute field testing activities for autonomous delivery robots by following established tests and procedures.
• Deploy, monitor, recover, and operate robots in real-world environments with safety and reliability.
• Perform commercial deliveries and represent Serve professionally with merchants, customers, and the public.
• Identify, document, reproduce issues, and provide clear information for engineering investigations.
• Collect test data, observations, and feedback to support product development.
• Troubleshoot basic software and hardware in the field and escalate complex problems to engineering as needed.
• Prepare robots for testing and deployment through routine inspections, charging, cleaning, and maintenance.
• Follow safety procedures, protocols, and testing standards during field activities.
• Maintain accurate testing records and logs.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Operations to support testing, deployments, and pilots.
