Job summary

Bonsai Robotics, Inc. in San Jose, CA is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to be the first point of contact for customer robotics software issues. You will resolve bugs, develop SOPs, and guide deployments using ROS2, C++, and Python.

Qualifications

• BS in a related field is required.
• Experience with real production robots in customer hands.
• Proficient in Python and C++ with Linux.
• Familiarity with robotics software development best practices.
• Ability to read and modify ROS2 code and debugging complex issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer guidance to resolve urgent issues with robotics software.
• Develop SOPs, runbooks, and troubleshooting guides.
• Write and ship software fixes using ROS2, C++, and Python.
• Triage bugs from logs and escalate to engineering when needed.
• Travel to customer sites for high-stakes deployments.
