Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Systems Engineer to lead large-scale deployment of industrial robotics across North America stores. You will oversee installation, testing, and go-live, collaborating with hardware engineering, product managers, and site teams to ensure safe, reliable deployments.

The role demands strong electro-mechanical and network expertise, proactivity in improving deployment processes, and the ability to travel up to 75%+ across North America.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering or STEM field.
• 5+ years troubleshooting robotics or complex mechanical-electrical systems.
• 5+ years project management for deployment/retrofits of large-scale robotics.
• 5+ years experience with project management and supply management tools (BOMs, work instructions, tasks).
• 3+ years in construction/manufacturing/warehouse environment.
• Experience with PLCs, SCADA, and network infrastructure.
• Ability to travel domestically 75% or more.

Responsibilities

• Own multiple deployments of a technology across sites, ensuring on-time go-live.
• Lead end-to-end deployment with proactive performance improvements.
• Coordinate installation, testing, and hand-offs with cross-functional teams.
• Refine deployment documents: schedules, SOPs, dependencies.
• Drive automation and optimization to improve operations.
• Resolve complex technical problems during deployment with good trade-offs.
• Create and improve standard work and operational guides.
• Influence teams to meet program goals.
• Develop subject matter expertise in deployment domains.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in technical assessments.
