Amazon RDPI is seeking a Systems Engineer II to lead on-site deployment of industrial automation across North American fulfillment sites. You will coordinate installation, testing, and handover with cross-functional teams, driving improvements in deployment efficiency and reliability.

The role requires strong electro-mechanical and network systems expertise, proactive problem solving, and the ability to travel extensively to project sites across the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent STEM field.
• 5+ years troubleshooting robotics or complex electro-mechanical systems.
• 5+ years project management for deployment of large-scale robotics.
• 5+ years using project management and supply management tools.
• 3+ years in construction, manufacturing, or warehouse environments.
• Experience with PLCs, SCADA, and network infrastructure.
• Ability to travel domestically 75%+ of the year.

Responsabilités

• Manage tactical deployment of large-scale industrial automation across sites.
• Oversee onsite installation coordination and acceptance testing to meet go-live dates.
• Collaborate with hardware engineering, PMs, product managers and site teams to convert requirements into deployment documents.
• Improve operational metrics and team processes through automation.
• Resolve difficult technical problems during deployment with trade-offs between time, quality and resources.
• Create and improve standard work documents and guidebooks; drive process improvements.
• Influence internal and partner teams to meet goals; develop domain expertise.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in technical assessments.
• Drive operational excellence initiatives with measurable results.
