Job summary

The H&K Group, Handwerk Contractors (Harrisburg Division), seeks a Road Mechanic to repair and maintain diesel and gasoline heavy equipment and trucks in the field across Western PA. The ideal candidate is energetic, self-motivated, organized, competent, and professional.

Responsibilities include diagnostics, part replacement, engine overhauls, and ensuring safety compliance. Ability to read job orders and work with shop leaders is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or relevant experience and/or training.
• CDL B license and clean driving record required.
• Customer service and teamwork skills.
• General computer knowledge including CAT ET & SIS software.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to OSHA/PA/DoT regs and HK safety policies.
• Travel to various Western PA locations for work.
• Identify and plan repairs by listening to equipment operators and drivers.
• Select parts and diagnose system malfunctions on equipment and trucks.
• Dismantle/reassemble equipment and test to verify repairs meet specs.
• Overhaul engines and perform diagnostics using computers and equipment.
• Conduct front-end inspections and alignments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
