Job summary

EXL Risk Control is seeking self-directed independent contractors to perform risk surveys from a home or office. You will service onsite survey assignments in the Pikeville, KY area and nearby locations within about 45 miles.

Strong communication, computer skills, and a commitment to quality and timeliness are essential. Responsibilities include scheduling on-site surveys, delivering thorough risk control reports for underwriting, and offering recommendations to mitigate loss.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial insurance, real estate, inspection, construction, claim, loss control, underwriting, or fire and safety is a plus.
• Alternatively, candidates can pursue a 15-hour online certification option.
• All interested candidates are encouraged to submit their qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Schedule on-site surveys and provide risk control reports to insurance clients.
• Reports help underwrite commercial policies and may include recommendations to control losses.
• Manage accepted assignments, secure local customer appointments, and complete work on time.
