Job summary

MEI Industrial Solutions in Southbridge, MA is seeking a Rigger/Millwright for full-time field operations. You will set up, assemble, or disassemble rigging, select gear based on load specs, and ensure safe relocation of machinery.

You will use hand and power tools, communicate with signals, and work with rigging lines to maneuver loads. A high school diploma and 3–5 years of rigging experience are expected; CDL may be required for certain roles.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent; readiness to follow instructions.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals as required.
• Sound knowledge of rigging safety rules and PPE usage.
• Experience with hand and power tools for rigging tasks.
• Capable of estimating load weights and selecting appropriate gear.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect and test rigging materials for safety.
• Align, level, and anchor machinery or equipment.
• Attach loads to rigging using hand or power tools.
• Select gear according to load weights, sizes, and area.
• Communicate signals to ensure worker safety while hoisting.
• Move heavy equipment using rigging gear and controlled methods.
• Dismantle, inspect, clean, and store rigging equipment after use.
