Job summary

United Natural Foods, Inc. in Enfield, CT is seeking a Retail Merchandiser to execute planograms, stock shelves, and support resets across assigned stores while delivering consistent, quality service.

The role requires travel up to 95% and independent work with strong organizational skills; you will communicate with the sales team and customers to maximize in-store presentation and product availability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-year related experience in Retail or Distribution.
• Prior customer service experience in a retail setting.
• Food related product experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Read, understand and implement planograms in store; adjust sections as needed.
• Visit retailers on Home Store or Field Sales program on schedule; provide feedback and follow-up.
• Rotate stock and remove out-of-code products; process merchandise returns and credits.
• Interpret and facilitate internal reports related to assigned project; complete paperwork accurately.
• Seize opportunities to increase sales through merchandising; sell promotions and respond to customer requests.
• Maintain effective business relations with customers and UNFI stakeholders via in-person, phone, and email communications.
• Order products aligning with customer needs and display them; assist with Shelf Tags and POS materials.
• Develop action plans with Supervisor or Account Manager to meet deadlines and budgets.
• Engage customers in the Professional Services Portfolio to strengthen UNFI relationships.
