Job summary

United Natural Foods, Inc. (UNFI) seeks a Retail Merchandiser to ensure consistent, quality service at assigned customer locations, stocking and merchandising products, executing planograms, and supporting shelf resets. The role covers Nashua, NH and surrounding areas.

The position requires visiting accounts, communicating with store staff, reporting on planogram compliance, rotating stock, handling returns, and promoting promotions while maintaining strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

• High School degree required.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance meeting UNFI requirements.
• Minimum 1-year related experience in Retail or Distribution; customer service experience in retail preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read, understand and implement planograms in store; adjust sections as necessary and report feedback.
• Visit retailers on Home Store or Field Sales program to execute plans and provide follow-up.
• Rotate stock and remove out-of-code products; process merchandise returns and credits per policy.
• Interpret internal reports and complete required paperwork accurately and timely.
• Seize opportunities to increase sales through merchandising techniques; promote promos and respond to product requests.
• Maintain effective business relations with customers and UNFI stakeholders through in-store, phone, and email communications.
• Order products aligned with customer needs and effectively display them; assist with shelf tags and POS materials.
• Develop action plans with supervision on assigned projects; meet deadlines and budgets.
• Engage customers with the Professional Services portfolio to strengthen UNFI relationships.
