Job summary

United Natural Foods, Inc. seeks a Retail Merchandiser to provide consistent, quality service at specified customer locations, including stocking, merchandising and planogram execution. You will participate in remodels, new stores, continuity programs and sales promotions while traveling to Columbia, MD and surrounding areas.

Role requires reading planograms, independent work, and strong communication with customers and the sales team. Weekly pay benefits and a health package are provided.

Qualifications

• High School degree required and valid driver’s license.
• Auto insurance levels must meet UNFI requirements.
• Minimum 1 year experience in retail or distribution and prior customer service in retail.

Responsibilities

• Read, understand and implement planograms; adjust sections as needed.
• Visit retailers on Home Store or Field Sales program and provide feedback.
• Rotate stock, remove out-of-code products and process returns/credits.
• Interpret internal reports and complete required paperwork on time.
• Promote sales through merchandising, promotions and planograms adherence.
• Maintain business relations with customers and UNFI stakeholders via in-person, phone, and email.
• Order products to align with customer needs and display them; assist with shelf tags and POS materials.
• Develop action plans with supervision and meet project deadlines within budget.
• Engage customers with the full Professional Services Portfolio to strengthen UNFI relationships.
