Job summary

Vylor is seeking a Field Testing Specialist for the Moorhead, MN Research Center. You will plan experiments, collect and analyze data, and carry out field operations including planting, pollinating, and harvest, with weekend/overtime during peak times.

You will operate agricultural research equipment, manage data flows, and support seed production activities while maintaining safety and environmental compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in agriculture or scientific field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities.
• Results-driven with good time management and organizational skills.
• Commitment to safety and risk management practices.

Responsibilities

• Use drones, iPad, and modern software to conduct field research experiments.
• Collect, analyze, and distribute large data sets according to protocols.
• Summarize results with experiment managers and note data issues.
• Communicate effectively with growers, coworkers, customers, and management.
• Assist with seed production activities and field operations; overtime may be required during peak seasons.
• Operate agricultural research equipment (tractors, planters, sprayers, forklifts, combines).
• Assist with weed management, including spraying and fertilizing.
• May supervise temporary or seasonal staff.
• Maintain safe, respectful work environment and support other projects.
• Validate and troubleshoot research equipment and ensure regulatory compliance.
