Job summary

NYU Grossman School of Medicine, part of NYU Langone Health, is seeking a Project Assistant- Per Diem to support data collection and coordinating study activities.

You will conduct field observations, recruit and enroll participants under IRB-approved protocols, administer surveys (REDCap or similar), distribute incentives, and assist with day-to-day field operations while maintaining data integrity and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office 365.
• Strong analytical ability and proactive problem-solving.
• Organized, detailed-oriented, dependable and flexible.
• Excellent oral and written communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field-based ethnographic observations and document findings.
• Recruit, screen, consent, and enroll study participants per IRB-approved protocols.
• Administer structured surveys using REDCap or approved data collection platforms.
• Distribute participant incentives in line with study protocols.
• Support and facilitate PhotoVoice sessions and dissemination activities.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with participants and staff.
• Assist with day-to-day field operations, scheduling and logistics.
• Follow research ethics, confidentiality, safety, and mandated reporting procedures.
• Participate in supervision, meetings, trainings to support data quality.
