Qualifications

• Associates degree plus one year of related experience or equivalent
• Good interpersonal, writing, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to identify, analyze and solve problems
• Ability to manage time and work well under pressure
• Computer literate with proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Familiarity with Internet applications
• Bachelor's degree preferred in science, public health, health education, or related field
• Prior experience in healthcare or research settings
• Prior patient education experience
• Knowledge of research methodologies, protocols, and regulatory requirements
• Attention to detail and maintaining confidential patient records
• Proficiency in using EHR systems and qualitative research tools

Responsibilities

• Utilizes established quantitative and qualitative methodologies to collect patient, partner, staff, and/or trainee information for research and evaluation projects
• Inputs data into databases and case report forms; extracts data for publications or from outside physicians' offices
• Assists in consolidating and analyzing data for presentations to sponsors and regulatory agencies
• Recruits and screens potential patients/subjects for eligibility
• Interacts with patients and families in a courteous and professional manner
• Demonstrates knowledge of IRB and regulatory requirements
• Initiates and maintains regular contact with patients to encourage visit reminders and compliance
• Gathers, packages, stores, and transfers slides, samples, and materials; coordinates shipments
• Completes assessments on study subjects per protocol with proper training
