The U.S. Census Bureau in Salt Lake City area seeks a Field Representative to support current survey operations. Your home will be your Duty Station, and you will travel throughout your local area to administer surveys and collect data.
You will conduct interviews in person, sometimes by phone, explain survey purposes, enter responses into a laptop, and complete required training. This is a confidential federal role with travel and payroll duties.
This vacancy is for a Field Representative (FR) position supporting current survey operations. Applicants selected will have their home as their Duty Station and will be required to travel throughout their local area.
Conducts interviews primarily in person (door to door) and when requested may conduct phone interviews to collect survey or census data as required within an assigned geographic area. Communicates with respondents, supervisors, and other persons as appropriate.
Understands survey materials in order to explain the purpose of surveys, ask questions as worded on the questionnaire or survey instrument, and enters accurate and complete information into a laptop computer or onto survey forms. Maintains personal payroll records that reflect hours worked, miles driven, and reimbursements for travel and communications claimed. Completes and attends training as necessary in-person or online.

The posted pay range is $19.52 – $31.72/hr.
This position requires a Confidential security clearance.
