Job summary

Utili-Serve seeks a skilled Relay Technician to install, test, troubleshoot, and repair relay and control equipment across substations, power plants, and client sites. You will work with electromechanical, solid-state, and microprocessor-based protective relays, instrument transformers, meters, and SCADA systems.

Ideal candidates have an associate degree in electrical/electronic fields and at least 3 years of hands-on experience with protective relays and control systems.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Electrical, Computer, or Mathematics or equivalent experience in electrical/electronic field.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience with electrical relays and control systems.
  • Hands-on testing and analysis of protective relays and control equipment.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel for work.

Responsibilities

  • Install, test, troubleshoot, and repair relay and control systems in substations, power plants, and customer facilities.
  • Work with protective relays (electromechanical, solid-state, and microprocessor), instrument transformers, metering devices, and SCADA systems.
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures and report updates.
  • Estimate upcoming projects and assist in planning.
  • Monitor project progress, track time and cost, and support management as needed.
