Field Reimbursement Specialist I – Patient Access

Job summary

CareMetx in the United States is seeking a Field Reimbursement Team Liaison I to serve as the primary contact with field reimbursement leaders, ensuring open communication and resolution of patient access barriers. You will build a collaborative environment and perform root-cause analysis to drive program improvements.

You will provide reimbursement expertise on payer landscapes, support the client’s field teams, and deliver timely, accurate information to providers and office staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent field experience required.
• 3+ years of field reimbursement in the Pharmaceutical or Healthcare industries.
• 1+ years of leadership experience, preferably in the healthcare industry.
• Experience with buy and bill and Specialty Pharmacy distribution pathways for specialty oral and injectable medications.
• Strong knowledge of the payer environment, including government and commercial payers, assignment of benefits, accumulators, maximizers, manufacturer financial assistance.
• Ability to interact professionally with customers – HCPs, office staff, clients.
• Knowledge of patient support programs including HUB programs and co-pay assistance programs.
• Strong planning and organization skills including OFFICE suite of productivity tools.

Responsibilities

• Partner with internal/external stakeholders to identify and address patient reimbursement issues.
• Be a subject matter expert on the payer landscape for the disease state.
• Ensure processes to drive clear communication about reimbursement and access issues.
• Provide exceptional customer service and resolve requests in a timely manner; escalate when needed.
• Coordinate with internal program staff and share customer feedback.
